The School Counsellor is Sue Anderson.
Who can
go to see the Counsellor?

Anyone who wants to talk about something that's
worrying them, or to check something out. Students might like to bring along
a friend.
What sort of problems can you talk about?

Anything that's worrying you, for example:
 |
an argument you've had with a
friend, |
 |
there's bullying going on, |
 |
things are difficult at home, |
 |
you're having problems with
your work, |
 |
boy/girlfriend problems, |
 |
you think there may be
something wrong with you, |
 |
you feel angry, unhappy,
confused or lonely. |
When is the Counsellor in School and where is she?

She is in School every Tuesday, and her room is in the
Support Student Centre, just on the left as you enter the building.
How do I get to see her?

You can knock on her door at break time or lunchtime
to book a time with her. Alternatively, the staff in the Student
Support Centre are happy to help put you in touch (in complete
confidentiality).
What will happen when I go?

The Counsellor will help you think about what is
worrying you and what you could do about it.
Who else will know?

Normally, what you say will be private to you and the
Counsellor. Sometimes there may be something which the Counsellor feels
someone else - a teacher or parent - should know about. She will talk to you
about that when you first go to see her. In particular, if she is concerned
that you or another young person may be at risk of harm, she will have to
tell someone else.
