Advice for Students

Be clear about your exams!

Know where your exam is taking place.
Arrive at the exam room for morning exams by 8.30am (8.45am start). We need time to get everyone into the room and ready to start.
Arrive at the exam room for afternoon exams by 1.15pm (1.30pm start).
You must stop talking and listen to instructions outside the exam room.
No talking or any communication with other students once you go into the exam room.
Make sure you have the correct equipment for each exam.
All bags should be left out of the way outside the room.
Leave your mobile at home if you can! You are not allowed to have a phone or any electrical gadget on you during the exam – even if it is turned off. If you do have a phone make sure it is labelled and handed in.
Any pencil cases must be see through. Use black pens only, and have some in reserve.
Remember to wear your school uniform.

Exams are formal occasions. Invigilators and teachers have to make sure that all rules are followed. Serious consequences may follow any breaking of the rules.
