Your organisation may be able to help our Year 10 pupils by providing work experience.  Your support would prove of great value and be very much appreciated.

Wellsway work experience will next take place between Monday 14th July and Friday 18st July 2008.

Wellsway School policy on work experience recognises its general educational value as the pressure and learning potential of a full working week cannot easily be replicated on a school site.  We plan detailed preparation and debriefing sessions to ensure maximum benefit is gained.  In particular, we ask all students to make contact with you to discuss learning objectives prior to the placement.  Students will complete a record of their experience in the Work Experience Log Book.  This should help them focus on the skills and qualities required in today's workplace.  Please run through all health and safety issues at the start and complete the assessment form at end of the placement.  Students will bring all these items to the placement.

Often businesses and organisations that offer work experience receive publicity through school newsletters and careers evenings.

Please reserve the placements for our pupils and at a later stage should you not be able to accommodate our students, contact us before cancelling.  If you prefer the students to apply direct to you, please indicate on the form.

It is likely that a member of the school staff will visit or telephone during the placement period to ensure that everything is going smoothly.  We would be grateful for your co-operation in this matter.
