It was with very mixed
feelings that I saw the old garden shed being demolished last term.
It had been there much longer than I have, looking after all our
tools and equipment. However, it was in a sorry state: rotting,
vandalised and with a very leaky roof which caused all sorts of
problems, so on balance I think it was a good thing.
Unfortunately, the two containers which now stand where the shed
used to be are both needed by the caretakers, so we have nowhere to
keep our tools. (Thanks to the PTA for letting us keep them in their
store temporarily.) Hopefully, we will be getting our own container
which will go where the old bird hide now stands. Demolishing that
should be fun! Fingers crossed.
Weve
got a busy programme this term, starting as usual with the dawn
chorus. Do try to get up early to be there (if the weather forecast
is good!). It is well worth the effort, and you'll be home in
time for breakfast. There are three excursions which should all be
brilliant. Please let me know if you want to come so I know how many
of you are coming.
There
is plenty to do in the garden as usual. If it looks good enough, we
might turn one of the June mornings into an Open Morning.
Do
keep coming to our meetings in school and elsewhere. Its you that
make the Green Team not me!
Have a
great term!

Sage
