Music is taught in mixed ability tutor groups at KS3 with a strong emphasis on performing and composing. Good numbers are enjoyed at GCSE and A level music students work with staff to inspire and motivate the younger students. With 25 networked computers, each running Cubase SX and Sibelius 3 and other specialist software, alongside a recording studio and school radio studio, the team has a dynamic approach to ICT in music.

Music students are celebrated for the outstanding extra-curricular work they do and this forms the life blood of music at Wellsway. All genres of music are supported and encouraged and many students go on to study music in Higher Education.
