Keynsham is a small town in the
south-west of England, located between Bristol and Bath. It
contains about 25,000 residents and is part of the new unitary authority: Bath and
North-East Somerset Council. Its position gives easy access to Wales, the West Country,
the Cotswolds and the Mendips. The town has a long history dating back to Roman times and
a strong sense of community.
Visitors to Wellsway should enter via the
entrance on Chandag Road nearest to Bath Road. Parking on
site is often difficult. If you intend to stay beyond 3pm,
please do not park in the large coach park as you enter the
school since this is used by coaches collecting children.
All visitors must report to Reception in the double-storey
Administration Block which is straight ahead as you enter the site.
Parents dropping off or collecting their
children by car are asked not to drive onto the site for obvious
health and safety reasons.
Apart from Wellsway,
Keynsham is also the home of Broadlands Secondary School and several
Primary Schools, the largest are which is
Chandag Junior School and Chandag Infants School
which share the same site as Wellsway. Chandag Junior School and
Saltford School are our
largest feeder schools.
