Wellsway School was formed in 1971 by the merger of Keynsham Grammar School
(opened in the 1956) and Wellsway County Secondary School (opened in 1958). All entries
prior to 1971 relate to Wellsway County Secondary School, except where
noted. Keynsham Grammar School is abbreviated to KGS for
brevity. Wellsway became a Specialist Sports and Science College in September 2007.

Apart from the school's own archive, we would like to thank all those
people who have contributed their time and material to this
project.
In most cases we have removed the full name of current
students
when their photograph is included
to protect them from unsolicited
contact. Where an archive entry celebrates the achievements of a
specific student, we have only used their surname. In
exceptional circumstances, we have used the full name of a student - this has
only been done after seeking the consent of their parent or carer.
Names of alumni and past and present staff are
used where they are known. If you find that your name or photograph in
this Archive but you would prefer that it was not included, please let us
know and it will be removed.
